Croma was founded in 1976 by the pharmacist couple Karin and Gerhard Prinz in Vienna.

In the early days of the company, the focus was on the nationwide expansion of the approval, import and distribution of products and drugs that were not registered in Austria.

The aim was to further develop innovative pharmaceutical products and make them more accessible to patients.
